Abstract: The study focused on the antioxidant potentials, qualitative phytochemicals and contents of minerals of Annona senegalensis seeds. The fruits were harvested from different farm sites in Oyo town (Oyo state, Nigeria), de-seeded, rinsed and shade-dried for 72 hours, using standard methods. Results of the antioxidant activities shows that the seed contained 0.87 U/mg total antioxidant value, 0.19% reducing power, 0.16 mg GAE total phenolic, 0.06 mg/g sterol and 78.76 mg/mL DPPH. The results of the phytochemicals were phenol (3.25 mgGAE/g), saponin (5.00 mg/g), tannin (4.04 mg/g), flavonoid (4.98 mg/g), alkaloid (25.32 mgQE/g), terpenoid (5.11 mg/g), phytate (8.25 mg/g) and cyanogenic glycoside (0.04 mg/g). Also, the mineral content in mg/kg from the results shows that calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, manganese, iron, copper and zinc values are 0.001, 3.40, 0.009, 0.002, 26.0, 25.50, 31.0 and 47.50, respectively, while chromium and lead were not detected. These findings provides valuable insights for future research and potential applications of the seeds.
