Miracle tree Moringa olifera as super food: Magic properties & health benefits
Author(s): Kiran
Abstract: For thousands of years, the plant Moringa oleifera has been lauded for its health advantages. It has a high concentration of beneficial antioxidants and bioactive plant substances. The moringa plant is starting to become more well-known as a potential new \"super food\" due to its extremely high nutritional content and several health advantages, including strong anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and tissue-protective qualities. Amino acids, minerals, and vitamins abound in moringa. It has substantial levels of calcium, potassium, vitamin A, C, and E, as well as protein. Free radicals are chemicals that lead to oxidative stress, inflammation, and cell damage. Antioxidants combat these molecules. The leaves, flowers, and seeds of Moringa plant include antioxidants known as flavonoids, polyphenols, and ascorbic acid. In diabetic individuals, moringa leaf powder has demonstrated efficacy in lowering lipid and glucose levels as well as managing oxidative stress. In other words, it decreases blood sugar and cholesterol while enhancing protection against cell damage. Particularly in blood lipid management, preventing plaque development in the arteries, and lowering cholesterol, moringa leaf powder offers heart-healthy properties. Chronic conditions including diabetes, obesity, heart disease, lung issues, and arthritis can all be brought on by inflammation. By inhibiting inflammatory enzymes and proteins in the body, moringa lowers inflammation; moreover, moringa leaf concentrate has the ability to dramatically reduce inflammation within cells. Because of its neuro-enhancer and antioxidant properties, moringa enhances cognitive function and brain health. Additionally, it has shown promising early results in trials to treat Alzheimer\'s disease. As per the USDA, vitamin A, vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin B6, folate, and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) are among the important vitamins found in moringa pods. Calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc are among the minerals that are abundant in it. It supplies no harmful cholesterol and has a very low fat content.
